Funeral services for Mr. Earl Davis, 80 of Karnack will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday November 13, 2010 at Antioch Baptist Churchin Leigh,Texas with Rev. Calvin Ruffin officiating. Interment will follow at Davis Family Cemetery in Leigh, Texas. Mr. Davis passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in Tyler. Earl Davis was born November 01, 1930 in Leigh, Texas to Hartfield Davis and Bertha Coleman Davis. He married Mary L. Putiua in 2005 in Marshall, Texas. Mr. Davis attended Antioch Baptist Church and was a retired mechanic from Austin Bridge Co. in Dallas. Surviving Mr. Davis are his wife, Mary L. Davis of Karnack; four daughters, Glenda Davis (Jimmy) Wesley, Mary Howard (Darrell) Washington, Sandra Johnson and Velma (Jesse) Powell all of Dallas; three sons, Earl Davis, Jr., Ricky (Dorothy) Davis, Sr., and Darryl (Barbara) Davis all of Dallas; four grandchildren, Trinja Dickerson, Eric Jones, Eugenia Fite and Theonna Johnson; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Loyce (Hearise) Davis of LaMarque, TX; sister-in-law, Theola Davis of Houston and special friend Donnell Jones of Dallas. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Woods; brothers, Cleo, Lawrence and Lonnie Davis and sister, Myrtle Hynson. Serving as pallbearers are Ricky Davis, Jimmy Wesley, Tedell Bradley, Jr., J.W. Spencer, Bobby Williams and Colry Dickerson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deweight Davis, Ricky Hyter, Dendlan McCown, Eric Jones and Donnell Jones.
