Eddie Ray Hunter was born February 29, 1952 in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas. He is 3rd child born to the Late A.D. Sr. and Gussie Mae Hunter.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas.

He was educated in the Marshall Public School System and attended Rosenwald School and Pemberton High School.

Eddie was known for his hard work and dedication to his employer Rose Hill Garden Cemetery until his health declined.

God saw fit to call Eddie home on October 16, 2018 in Marshall, Texas. He is proceeded in death by one daughter, Stephanie Lewis of Kansas City, Missouri and one brother, A.D. Hunter Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory four sons; Stephen (Freda) Malone of Lewisville, Texas, Eddie Wayne Lewis and Mark Lewis of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ronnie Bracy of Marshall, Texas. One daughter: Michelle Lewis of Kansas City, Missouri. One brother James Hunter (Ruby) and One sister Rosie (Eddie) Sparks. Two aunts of Houston, Texas. Two nephews, Three Special nieces, Regina Roberts and Lisa Fields of Duncanville, Texas, Barbara White of Kansas City, Missouri. Thirty grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren. A host of other loving relatives and close friends.
