A funeral service for Edwin Harold Williams will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 2:00p.m. at Greater Oak Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow going to Pine Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Downs Funeral Home.

Edwin Harold Williams "Ned" was born to Willie Williams, Sr. and Annie B. Williams on September 20, 1957 in Marshall, Texas. He was the eighth child of nine children. Harold attended Pemberton and later completes his education at Marshall High School with the class of 1975.

After high school Edwin went on to work for various companies such as Monarch Tile Plant, Reda Pump, Marshall Regional, and Harrison County Courthouse during employment he received the "Distinguished Service Award" for all of his loyalty and hard work.

Harold met his wife Hazel and they married on December 31, 1993. For anyone who knew Harold knows that he loved fishing, football, and good ole bar-b-que. Family, laughing, and having an old fashioned good time meant the world to Harold. A heart of gold to know him was to love him. He accepted Christ at an early age attending Greater Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Harold was preceded in death by his father, Willie Williams, Sr.; brothers, Billy L. Williams, Emmitt Williams, and Willie Williams, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Hazel Williams; mother, Annie B. Williams; sons, Oscar Smith Jr., Aaron Smith, and Billy Marsh; daughters, Vershoni (Corey) Fisher, Sharese Williams, Camille (Chris) Knighten, and Kiarah Smith; grandchildren, Katherine Ramsire, Corbin Smith, Alyah Smith, Destiney Smith, and Kaedyn Fulcher; sisters, Brenda (Eroyce) Miles, Wenda Epps, Vernetta (William) Davidson, and Jackie (Chester) Culberson; brother, Glendell (Patricia) Williams. He also leaves a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
