Funeral Service for Elbert Joe McClenan will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home. Interment will be at Yates Cemetery in Scottsville, Texas.

Mr. McClenan was born on March 19, 1943 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Raymond Lee and Clara Alice McClenan. He passed away on August 28, 2021 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, Texas at the age of 78.

He enjoyed garage selling, setting up tv's and antennas for people, and had a green thumb and could grow anything. He loved to go fishing and enjoyed being with his family. He was a great dad and loved his wife and family dearly.

He is survived by his children, Joe McClenan "Shorty", Kelly Madden, Butch McClenan, Tracy Weeks, Angie McClenan; brother, Tom McClenan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren along with numerous other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlotte McClenan; daughter, Alicia Odom; brothers, R.D. McClenan, Keith McClenan, Lester McClenan, Roy McClenan and Richard McClenan; son-in-law, Bubba Madden; grandson, Doyle Salyer and great grandson, Harold Boland.
