Elease Goode
Davis
Dec 4, 1954 — Nov 7, 2025
Marshall
Elease Goode Davis, dedicated mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away on 7 November 2025 at Christus Good Shepherd in Longview, Texas. She was born in Marshall on 4 December 1954 to the late Arthur Martin Goode and Annie Marie Smith, where she graduated Marshall High School and married the love of her life, Jerry Wayne Davis, in 1973. Together they had two daughters, whom they loved dearly. She also raised her grandson, Brandon Davis-Jones, as if he were her own, until her passing.Elease was a retired pharmacy technician and avid Dallas Cowboys fan, who had an immense love for animals, including her two cats Sparkle and Misha, and those on the 5K Ranch, which she visited often in her free time. She also had a lifelong passion for dancing. As a child, she said she wore out many a doorknob dancing to the American Bandstand and, as an adult, she frequented many dance halls with her close friends and grandchildren. Until her very last day, she was bopping along to her favorite song, Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton.
Elease is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wayne Davis, her parents Arthur and Annie Goode, and sister Celuda Weems. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jennifer Hayes and husband Duane, Dusti Davis, and Angie McTee; brother Martin Goode; grandchildren Jared Hayes and wife Jordon, Dustan Hayes, Brandon Davis-Jones, Lexi Hayes, and Rhyleigh Simmons; and great-grandchildren Walker Hayes, Westan Hayes, Wayden Hayes, Poppy Hayes, Kenzley Hayes, Eastan Smith, Delylah Smith, Lynnan Smith, Destin Alexander, Elijah Smith, and Rayleigh Webb; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all of the people who have helped in her care over the last few years.
