Mr. Elmer Ray Washington, son of the late Mrs. Mary Lee Love and the late Mr. Melvin Hicks, was born on December 3, 1956 in Waskom, Texas. He departed this life on Thursday, April 2, 2020. Mr. Washington accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and united with Lotta Church of God in Christ in February of 2020. He attended Waskom Public Schools.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Kendrick May of Karnack, Texas; three grandchildren, Kendrick May II, Kenisha May, and Kiana May; six brothers, Supt. Cas Love, Jr., Minister Richard Love, Mr. Cleomie Hicks Robinson all of Karnack, Texas, Mr. Earnest Ray Love, Mr. Gail Love both of Marshall, Texas, Mr. Willie C. May of Dallas, Texas; six sisters, Ms. Mary Ann Williams, Mrs. Shirley Valentine, Ms. Linda Love, Mrs. Dorothy Haggerty all of Marshall, Texas, Mrs. Martha Lewis and Mrs. Barbara Lewis both of Karnack, Texas. Also left to cherish his memories is a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
