Funeral services for Ennis McDonald Jr., 77, of Jefferson, TX will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Judea Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Judea Baptist Church Cemetery. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. McDonald passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at his residence. Ennis McDonald Jr. was born in Marion County, Texas on June 28, 1937 to Ennis McDonald Sr. and Freddie Oliver McDonald. He attended Judea Public Schools. Mr. McDonald married Betty Jean Smith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Betty McDonald of Jefferson; children, Chad McDonald, Cody Rose and JoAnn Turner, all of Jefferson; sisters, Clara Adams (Eddie) of Jefferson and Easter Williams of Ft. Worth; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends. Mr. McDonald was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ennis Charles McDonald; brothers, T. J. McDonald, Roy Lee McDonald, James Arthur McDonald; and a sister, Jettie Singleton.
