A graveside memorial service for Erma Sims, 87, of Marshall will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2014 at Grace Hill Cemetery in Longview, Texas under the direction of Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Sims passed away June 3, 2014 in Marshall, TX. Mrs. Sims had been a resident of Marshall Manor West since 2005. Erma Jean Sims was born October 28, 1926 to the parentage of Henry Sims and Della M. Thornton Sims. Erma Sims is survived by her daughter, Princella Polk (Keith)of Gardena, CA; grandson, Corey Polk; granddaughters, Kenisha and Keana; brother, James Sims of Dallas, TX; and sisters, Sammie Sue Minor of Lancaster, TX, Bennie Milligan of Texas, Princy, Ven and Bernice of California; other relatives and friends. Ms. Sims was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ernest Sims.
