A Graveside Funeral Service for Ethel O. Chambers, 97, of Marshall will be held at 10:00am Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Colonial Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Randy Fitzgerald officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Ms. Chambers passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 in Marshall.

Ethel O. Chambers was born September 19, 1918 in Goose, Texas to Wes and Cara Stevens. Having lived most of her life in Marshall, Ethel was known and loved by many. Many of those who knew Ethel met her at Abrahams Food Town, where she worked for many years before retiring. She was genuinely a sweet lady, always smiling. Ethel attended services at Summit United Methodist Church of Marshall for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family.

Ms. Chambers is survived by her loving children, Walter Wayne Chambers and wife, Peggy, Bobby Lynn Chambers, Steven R. Chambers and wife, Leslie; sister, Billie Worsham; brother, Jimmy Polkinghorn and wife, Barbra; grandchildren, Susan Matthias and husband, Glenn, Mike Chambers, Devin Chambers and wife, Kaylee, Charles Chaney Chambers, Payton Chambers and wife, Carrie, Steven "Chadd" Chambers and wife, Stefeny, Shannon Blassinggame and husband, Robert, Colt Chance Chambers; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Preceding her death are Walter Ray Chambers, Wes Stevens, Jim & Cara Polkinghorn, Dorthard Stevens and Burian Stevens.
