Eva Nell "Tissie" Allums Brooks Eva Nell Allums Brooks was born December 15, 1929 in Beckville, TX to Jodie F. and Opal Lucille Woods Allums. She was a Marshall High School graduate, and attended Panola College in Marshall, and Kilgore Nursing School. Mrs. Brooks worked as a RN at Marshall Memorial Hospital for 7 years. She also worked for Thiokol for 12 years prior to nursing. Mrs. Brooks had owned and operated "The Plaster House" for 12 years. She was active in 4-H of Harrison County, a member of TOPS Club and Victory Baptist Church. Mrs. Brooks passed away October 29, 2012 in Marshall. Mrs. Brooks is survived by her daughter, Lucille Brooks Lynch and husband Donny of Marshall; son, Reece Brooks Jr. and wife Sue of Karnack; grandchildren: Don and Angela Lynch of Marshall, Delton Lynch of Longview, Chad and Rebecca Brooks of Ore City, Aron and Justin Miller of Karnack; great grandchildren, Eli Lynch, Maddison Oswalt and Tyler Mayfield, Dayton Brooks, Cody Reece Brooks, Katherine Brooks, Cassie Brooks; brother, David and Melba Allums, Sr of New Caney, TX; sisters, Helen McClure of Marshall, Martha Rhyne of Palestine; and sister-in-law, Shirley and Bill Singleton of Marshall. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reece N. Brooks, Sr.; and her brother, Bo Allums; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Rhyne, Willie McClure; and sisters-in-law, June Allums and Hulene Allums.
