Graveside services for Eva Mae Adkisson Murrell, 89, of Marshall, TX, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Grange Hall Cemetery with Bro. Craig Evers officiating. Mrs. Murrell passed away July 31, 2015 in Marshall. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, August 1st at the Downs Funeral Home. Eva Mae Adkisson Murrell was born December 1, 1925 in Bonham, TX to Albert and Susie Zelma Keen Adkisson. She attended Darco Schools. Mrs. Murrell was a cashier for Brookshires, retiring in 1994. She was a longtime member of Cave Springs Baptist Church and Woodlawn Baptist Church. She was also a member of Harrison County Shrine Club Auxillary. Eva married Clifford "Ray" Murrell, and he preceded her in death. Surviving Mrs. Murrell are her son, Clifford Ray "Pete" Murrell, Jr. and wife Toni; brothers, Louis Adkisson, Loyd Adkisson; sisters, Nettie Smith, Cordelia Doss; grandchildren, Matthew James Murrell and wife Brandi, Haley Leigh-Ann Murrell; great grandson, Jack Frehely Murrell; and numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends. Preceding Mrs. Murrell in death were, her parents; her husband; daughter, Patricia Ann Keen; grandson, Eric Martin Murrell; and brothers, Olen Adkisson, James Vernon Adkisson and Earnest Eugene Adkisson. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Murrell, Bill Murrell, Eddie Murrell, Mike Adkisson, Curt Adkisson, Dennis Adkisson and Glenn Smith, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children 2222 Welborn Street, Dallas, Texas 75219.
