Obituary

Eva "Dell" Saizon passed away after a long battle with Dementia on June 17, 2021 in Mt Pleasant Texas.

Dell was born July 29, 1933 to her parents John Walter Bennett and Myrtle Bridges Bennett in Baker, Louisiana. She graduated from Baker High School In 1952.

Dell married Billy Joe Saizon on March 15, 1952 and they have been married for 69 years. She traveled from coast to coast with him during his military service until returning home after his Naval discharge in 1967. From this union, her four children were born.

Dell was a priceless woman with many talents and hobbies. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, ceramics, doll making and shopping. She also earned her belts in Judo. When Dell was not working on one of her many hobbies, she was fishing and relaxing on their houseboat on Lake of The Pines. Among other talents, she was also known for her fantastic cooking and planning of family gatherings until her health did not allow.

Dell was not one to hold back her advice whether it was appreciated or not. She was a strong-willed woman who taught her children and grandchildren that they could obtain anything in life just by setting their mind to it. This thought prevailed as she reared four upstanding children.

Dell was a perfectionist with appearance, hosting, housekeeping and parenting. She considered it a special treat to have her grandchildren around her. She will be greatly missed by all of her family as well as those that knew her.

Dell was preceded in death by a grandson, Clinton Wayne Saizon; daughter in law, Nicki Saizon; brothers, Leland Bennett and Alex Bennett; sisters, Mary Schoonmaker and Irma Lively.

Dell is survived by her husband; Billy Joe Saizon, daughter; Donna Moore and husband Jimmy Dale, son; Billy R. "Randy" Saizon, daughter; Deborah Ann Moxley and husband Gary, and son; Ronald J. "Ron" Saizon, grandchildren; Alisha and Darien Head, Amanda and Douglas Branch, Karen and Brad Turner. Kimberly and Dan Limrise, Jason Moxley and wife Claire, Randi Kaye Saizon, Joshua Saizon, sister-in-law; Donna Jean Bennett, and numerous great-grandchildren and family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to hospice nurse "Arielle" of Mt Pleasant, Tx., Green Hill Villas, Titus Co. Regional Med. Center, and Heart to Heart Hospice all of Mt Pleasant, Tx.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's research and education.
