Funeral services for Mrs. Evie Eunice Allen Woodley, 86 of Marshall will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday August 27, 2011 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. David Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Woodley Cemetery in Elysian Fields. The family will receive friend from 5-7 p.m., Friday August 26, 2011 at the funeral home. Mrs. Woodley passed away August 24, 2011 in Marshall. Evie Eunice Allen Woodley was born September 13, 1924 in Harrison Co., Texas to Walter Weldon Allen and Eunice Averett Allen. She married Hugh Carwile Woodley on February 24, 1945. He preceded her in death July 18, 2001. Evie was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church where she was a charter member and longtime Sunday school teacher. She also worked in the Elysian Fields School District where she taught 4th and 6th grade. Surviving Evie are son, Henry Woodley of Marshall; two daughters, Marilyn Callahan and husband Max of Canton, TX and Renae Robinson and husband Sid of Bethany, TX; four grandchildren, Ronnie Robinson of Palastine, TX, Chris Robinson and wife Randa of Bethany, TX, Lauren Callahan of Canton, TX and Erin Callahan of Dallas, TX; three great-grandchildren, Keller, Karleigh, and Kolton Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers, Audrey, Weldon and Robert Allen. Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie Robinson, Chris Robinson, Steve Woodley, Wayne Woodley, Clifton Woodley, Keith Woodley, Jerry Woodley and Dana Harris. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage House and Heart's Way Hospice for the care given to Evie.
