Felipa Fajardo Estrada was born on May 25, 1948, in Estancia Grande to Antioco Fajardo and Catalina Estrada Jaimes and passed away on September 14, 2025, in Longview, Texas.

She was a hard worker and loved to cook. She always cared about others. She was a great wife, grandmother, sister and friend and was the best mother in the world.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antioco Fajardo and Catalina Estrada Jaimes.

She is survived by her husband, Alejandrino Vargas; children, Marilu Vargas and husband, Manuel Quintanilla, Maria del Carmen Vargas and husband, Rey David Benitez and Ofelia Vargas and husband, Oscar Torres; brothers, Vicente Fajardo, Agustin Fajardo and Luis Fajardo; sisters, Paula Maldonado, Ester Castillo, Maria Santos Fajardo and Maria Luna; grandchildren, Selena Quintanilla, Jesus Gonzales, Luis Fernando Gonzales, Luis Quintanilla, Miguel Angel Gonzales, Julio Cesar Quintanilla, Ashley Torres, Jennifer Nicole Gonzales and Oscar Uriel Torres and great grandchild, Asael Gonzales along with other family and friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 18, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home.
