Graveside services for Ms. Frances Rose Hopkins, 86 of Marshall will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 in the Gill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Downs Funeral Home.
Frances was born September 18, 1931 in Armstrong, MO to Carl Rhoden and Dora Thomas Rhoden. She passed away June 30th in Marshall, TX. Frances enjoyed working at Marshall Memorial Hospital as a nurse for 25 years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was married to Hulon Hopkins for 47 years until his passing in February of 1996. Survivors are her children, Larry Hopkins and wife Debbie of Longview, and Debra Lockwood and husband Todd of Marshall; sisters, Gaye Hoyt and husband, Gene of Panama City Beach, FL, Sue Lancaster of Abilene, TX, and Phyllis Williams of Texarkana, TX. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Chanda and Shane Telischak , and great granddaughter, Ryleigh Telischak, all of Marshall. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Rhoden and sister, Judy Kettleson |
