Funeral services for Francis Marion "Frank" Proctor, 89, of Marshall, TX, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2014, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Segers officiating. Interment will follow in New Colony Cemetery in Linden, TX. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Proctor passed away December 24, 2014 in Longview, TX. Francis Marion Proctor was born in Atlanta, TX, to Andrew Leon Proctor and Ruby Leota Todd Proctor. He served his country in U.S. Army. Frank retired from Centerpoint Energy as a mechanic. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Marshall, and served as a deacon. Surviving Mr. Proctor are his wife, Mary Lee Proctor of Harleton; sons, Donald (Marcia) Proctor of Blacksburg, VA, Charlie Proctor; step-sons, Loydalee (Maria) Borden, Leland (Kathy) Borden, all of Harleton, TX, Larry (Lisa) Borden of Marshall; step-daughters, Vernieta (Doug) Beck, Charlene (David) Clark all of Harleton; sister, Leota Nunn of Maud, TX; 7 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 14 step-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Preceding Mr. Proctor in death were his parents; first wife, Evelyn Inez Frazier Proctor; second wife, Mary Elizabeth Russell Proctor; sons, Franklin Thomas Proctor, Johnny Royce Proctor; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
