A funeral service for Mr. Frankie Joe Boyd will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 2:00p.m. in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Longridge Cemetery.

On Tuesday morning, January 7, 2020, a chorus of angels sang Mr. Frankie Joe Boyd to his rest. Mr. Boyd is at peace with God now, and rejoicing in his happy heavenly home.

Mr. Frankie J. Boyd was born December 7, 1948 to the late Mr. Leo Boyd and Mrs. Pearline Boyd-Irving.

He attended H.B. Pemberton High School with the class of 1967. He was a member of Longridge C.M.E. Methodist Church of Marshall, Texas.

He was blessed with a loving family. Mr. Boyd had two sons, two daughters, two brothers and one niece who loved his dearly.

Mr. Boyd leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Ms. Pearline Boyd-Irving; son, Mr. Shandon C. (Kimberly) Boyd; daughter, Ms. Frankazia Boyd all of Marshall; brother, Mr. Bill Anthony Boyd of Lancaster; niece, Shawand Hicks of Brandon, Mississippi; two aunts, Ms. Dorothy Spears and Mrs. Tammie Boyd; God son, Raymond "Ray Ray" Jones; three step-grandchildren, a host of cousins, extended relatives and friends.

Mr. Boyd is preceded in death by his son, Frankie D. Boyd; daughter, Corita Michelle Johnson; brother, Johnnie Roy Irving; niece, Misty Rochelle Boyd.
