Frankie E. Lackey 1st Funeral services for Mr. Frankie E. Lackey 1st, 82 of Avinger will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday December 20, 2010 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Rev. Judd Strawbridge officiating. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday December 19, 2010. Mr. Lackey passed away December 15, 2010 in Longview. Frankie E. Lackey 1st was born March 15, 1928 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Charles Earl and Myrtle Richards Lackey. On January 15, 1965 he married Lettie Pearl Lackey in Durant, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death in 1991. He was a member of the General Assembly of the First Born Church in Sherman. Frank worked for the City of Irving as a meter reader and later worked for the City of Marshall as well as Panola Harrison Electric. He was also a very avid fisherman. Surviving Frank are two sons, Charles Lackey of Dallas and Frankie E. Lackey 2nd and wife Jennifer Sue of Longview; one daughter, Pamela King of Dallas; grandchildren, Robert and Jessie Parker, Thomas King, Joey King and Jason King; brother, Rudy Lackey of Sherman, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and two sisters, Violet G. Moody and Betty Earnest.
