A Graveside service for Gary Allen Huffer, Sr. will be held at 10am, Friday, October 2, 2015 at Andrews Cemetery, Karnack, Texas. A visitation will be held from 5m to 7pm, Thursday, October 01, 2015 at Downs Funeral Home. Gary Allen Huffer, Sr., 69, of Longview Texas passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Gary was born June 25, 1946 in Salem, Ohio to Albert and Anne Huffer. In May of 1965, Gary joined the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country. For many years, Gary worked for General Motors before retiring in 1998. Gary is survived by his wife, Debra Outland Huffer; son, Timothy Thompson and wife, Veronica of Hunington Beach, CA; son, Gary Allen Huffer, Jr. of Tampa Bay, FL; daughter, Hollie Houtzer and husband, Paul of Indianapolis, IN; and son, Kevin Michael Huffer of Manila, Philippines. He is also survived by his two sisters, Dianne Ferko and husband Joe of Chandler, AZ, and Linda Rosberg and husband, Tom McGeehen of Del Rio, TN; five loving grandchildren and many other family members and close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Anne Huffer. Gary was a loving husband and father and was very kind, generous and a sweet man.
