Gayl Olivia Oliver was born June 24, 1953 to John Oliver Sr. and Ruth Oliver in Marshall, Texas.   Gayl accepted Christ and was baptized at an early and took joy in praising and serving the Lord through song and selfless service.

She graduated H.B. Pemberton in 1972, and attended Kilgore College from1972-1974. She graduated with a degree in business administration. Her professional pursuits often included encompassing the needs of the community.

She was loved and cherished by many for her giving and generous spirit, and her unconditional love and support for her family and friends.

Gayl departed this life October 3, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ruth Oliver, Sr., and her beloved brother Dennis Oliver, Sr., and sister Janie Oliver,

She leaves to cherish her memories three sons Julian Turner (Kim) of Dallas, Texas, Corey Smith of Dallas, Texas, and Graylon Oliver (Crissy) of Marshall, Texas; one brother John Oliver, Jr.: two sisters Carrie Oliver Evans and Shirley Oliver Jones, 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a host of nieces nephews, cousins, and friends.
