A funeral service for Gaynell "Gay" Bunch, 83, of Marshall, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Summit Methodist Church in Marshall, Texas. Interment will follow at New Grover Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Mrs. Bunch passed away on June 6, 2023, at her home in Marshall, Texas.

Gaynell "Gay" Bunch was a resident of Marshall, Texas for the past 44 years, where she was a faithful member of Summit Methodist Church. She and her husband, John Bunch, where married on April 3, 1982. Mrs. Bunch enjoyed spending time crafting and making jelly with her friends. She was a wonderful cook who found joy in her kitchen.

Mrs. Bunch is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Findley Jones and Leila Esther Patterson; loving husband, John Bunch; great-grandson, Ethan Joseph Van Gessel.

She is survived by her loving children, Allen Taylor and wife Mary Jo, Angie Manley and husband Dave, Cary Taylor and wife Melinda, Melissa Anderson and husband Jason, Christy Bunch Atkins; sister, JoAnn Bailey Smith and husband Buster; brother Dennis P. Jones and wife Wilma; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Summit Methodist Church.
