A memorial service for Georgia Faye Finley, 72, of Hallsville, TX, will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church, Hallsville, TX, with Dr. Danny Warbington officiating. Mrs. Finley passed away February 25, 2014 in Marshall, TX. Georgia Finley was born October 29, 1941 in Pipton, Oklahoma to Billy Cleve and Vada Nettles Sparkman. Georgia attended the Brownfield, TX schools, and then attended Beauty School. Georgia married Millard T. "Tom" Finley in April of 1964. She was a member of Mulberry Springs Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Georgia enjoyed ceramics, painting, fishing and reading. Surviving Georgia Finley is her husband, Tom Finley of Hallsville; children, Carlos Lee Howell and wife Billie of Anson, TX, Sherry Peyton and husband Steve of Pearsall, TX, Karla Strachan and husband Mark of Dallas, TX, Melissa Finley of McKinney, TX and Mellinda Craig of Marshall, TX; grandchildren, Kevin Cooper and Misti, Daniel Cooper, Sr., Chase Howell, Suzi Wiley, Kayce Johnson, Callie Palma, Samuel Payton, Baylee Trice and Andrew Craig; great grandchild, Daniel Lee Cooper, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Ruth Reel, Albert Sparkman, Carl Peterson, Doug Nettles, Billie Jo Knopfel; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Rebecca Staples. Preceding Georgia in death were her mother, Vada Nettles; brother, Carlton Nettles; sister, Virginia Sparkman; and her father, Billy Cleve Sparkman.
