Graveside service for Gerald Lane Boaze, 70, of Waskom will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2012 at Pope City Cemetery with Bro. Tom Ratcliff officiating. The family will have a time of visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Boaze passed away December 18, 2012 in Marshall. Gerald Lane Boaze was born October 3, 1942 in Marshall to A. L. and Katherine Townlin Boaze. He was a Baptist, and worked for Thiokol as Water Plant Operator for 26 years. Mr. Boaze enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Boaze is survived by his wife, Thelma Boaze of Waskom; sons, Timothy Todd Boaze and wife Rebecca of Karnack, Jacob Levi Boaze and wife Donna of Diana; daughter, Julie Denise Boaze Leming and husband Terry Don of Waskom; sisters, Patsy Hudson of Marshall, Sue Ellen Brooks of Karnack; brother, David Wayne Boaze of Avinger; grandchildren, Abigail Hunt, James Michael Leming, Justin Tyler Boaze, Amber Nicole Leming, Alex Boaze and Maggie Boaze. Mr. Boaze was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel Lane Boaze; a sister, Lana Kay Williams; and his first wife, Wanda Boaze.
