A funeral service for Ronald "Gerald "Jerry" Foster, 84, of Douglasville, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. A time for visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2025, at Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at New Grover Cemetery in Marshall, Texas.

He was born on October 1, 1940, in Douglasville, Tx. to Clinton Charlie Foster and Helen Warrington Foster and passed away on July 24, 2025, in Marshall, Texas.

The descendants of Jerry Foster would like to announce that he entered the Kingdom of Heaven on July 24, 2025; after defying the doctors in 1998, he continued to bring us joy, faith, and charm, we celebrate his opportunity to meet God and see the many he loved who passed away before him. He was a very proud American, Texas and Texas Aggie. His strength was surpassed only by his faith in God which he proudly passed along to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His patience, love and honor allowed him to raise three headstrong children that will be forever grateful.

He left behind his loving wife, Judith Hope Foster; his children, Brandy Foster and wife Kerry, Sabra Tracy and husband Dick, Derek Foster and wife Reagan; grandchildren, Ashley Fritz, Alisha Fritz, Holden  Norman, Alex Brown, Yancy Walsh, Jared Tracy, Jacob Foster, Dane Foster, Kendall Foster; great grandchildren, Lauren Carpenter, Kaelyn and Aiden Bruce, Stetson and Presley Walsh, Maverick Foster, Marcus Luna and Chance Brown; brother Ronnie Foster; sisters, Veneida Hudson, Sharon Cornelius and Charlotte Woodfin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Charlie Foster and Helen Warrington Foster and his brother, Harold Foster.
