A memorial service for Gerald Oliver Holl, 87, of Marshall, TX, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 7, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marshall. Mr. Holl passed away July 18, 2015 in Marshall. Gerald Oliver "Jerry" Holl was born August 24, 1927 in Canton, Ohio, to Oliver Holl and Charlotte McName Holl. Jerry graduated from the University of New Mexico. He retired from Marshall City Golf Course. Jerry married Margaret McGuire, and she preceded him in death. Jerry served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a life member of the American Legion. Surviving Mr. Holl are his children, Colleen Holl Smith and husband Judge Smith of Marshall, TX, Christopher Holl and wife Renata Holl of Phoenix, AZ, Michael B. Holl and wife Terri Holl of Bowling Green, KY, Keith S. Holl and wife Maria Holl of Swansea, IL; 2 brothers, Jack Holl and David Holl of Canton, Ohio; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
