Ms. Gladys Marie Brown, daughter of the late Andrew Brown Jr. and Katie Mae Johnson Brown, was born on July 27, 1947 in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas. She was educated in Harrison County Public Schools and at an early age she united with Shiloh Baptist Church. Ms. Gladys Marie Brown departed this life on January 21, 2014 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, Texas. Preceded in death by her mother, Katie M. Brown and father, Andrew C. Brown, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Vironica Marie Brown and Tawana Brown-Robinson (Herman), both of Marshall, Texas; 6 grandchildren, Erik, Tamira, Elexis, Jaylon, Kamryn and Jonte; sisters, Ora Gray and Waurrine Johnson of Marshall, Texas, Dora Thomas of Dallas, TX; brother, Donald R. Johnson, Dallas, TX; step-sisters, Willie D. Hill of Marshall, TX, Ms. Myrna Brown and Mrs. Alberta Gordon (Calvin) of Waskom, TX, Mrs. Ester McCray (Rev. Terrance) of Shreveport, LA, and Jerlean Brown of Oklahoma City, OK; step-brothers, Walter Hardin of Dallas, James E. Brown and Johnny Ray Brown of Waskom, TX; and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
