A funeral service for Glen Stud Wright will be held on Sunday, February 9 ^th , 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Downs Funeral Home. Bro. Matt Paul will be officiating the service. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 8 ^th , 2020 at Downs Funeral Home.

Glen Stud Wright, 82, of Marshall, Texas was born January 18 ^th , 1938 to his parents, John Harvey Wright and Allie Lee Carroll. Mr. Wright passed away on February 5 ^th , 2020 in Marshall, Texas. Those who knew Mr. Wright knew that he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and his grandkids. Mr. Wright worked in construction and pipeline, starting as a backhoe operator and retiring as a pipeline inspector. He was also a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Mr. Wright is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Deloras Wright; daughter, Kimberly McWilliams; sister, Vickey Wright; grandchildren, Buck Cole, Kenny Cole, and Kyle Hermanbustad; and great grandchildren, Kelleigh, Kaylie, Harley, Gauge, Kayden, Bentley, and Alyssa.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents, John Harvey Wright and Allie Lee Carroll; brothers, Cotton Wright and Bobbie Horton; sister, Linda Dollar; sons, Kelly Wright and Kevin Wright; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Wright Hendrick.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any donations be made to the American Heart Association.
