Hallie McNair Holder Graveside funeral services for Hallie McNair Holder, 94, of Marshall will be held at 2p.m., Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Algoma North Cemetery with Bro. Robert Prothro officiating under the direction of Downs Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, October 30th at the Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Holder passed away October 28,2011 in Marshall. Hallie was born April 12, 1917 in Marshall to Mettie Liston McNair and Wesley G. McNair. She married Travis Lee Holder, September 14, 1935. He preceded her in death, March 20, 2002. She worked as a seamstress at the Blue Buckle Manufacturing Company. She belonged to the Piecemakers Quilt Guild and Westwood Home Demonstration Club. Surviving Mrs. Holder are her children are Travis (Buddy) Holder, Sue Harber and husband Charles, Patsy Truehitt and husband Charles. The grandchildren are Treva Sanders and husband Tommy, Ladonna Jones and husband Ronald, Melinda Bonds and husband David, David Harber and wife Brooke, Dewayne Holder and wife Caroline. Sixteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive Mrs. Holder. She was preceded in death by her sister Hazel Mills, brothers Harlan McNair, Hugh McNair, Harding McNair, and Alys McNair, her grandsons Randy Truehitt and Todd Holder.
