Harry Wayne Kamp, Jr., age 71, of Marshall, Texas passed away, Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Harry was born in Muskegon, Michigan and relocated when he got married to Marshall, Texas, which became his home.

Harry worked as a carpenter in construction for the first part of his career and in his later years he worked in appraisal and then templating. He was exceptionally talented in all he did from building his own home, shop and helping others with building projects. He had a quirky sense of humor and loved to argue about politics. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry W. Kamp, Sr.; mother, Ardith A. Price and brother, Alan "Chip" D. Gould.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Morey Kamp; sons, Kyle Wayne Kamp and wife, Jennifer, Cory James Kamp and wife, Laura and Jacob Adam Kamp; sisters, Mandy L. Gould Corey, Gena M. Gould Allgood and husband, Mike, Annette R. Gould Riggs and Debbie Kamp; brothers, Scott W. Schuiteman, Michael Kamp, John Kamp and wife, Kim and Jeff Kamp and wife, Jan and grandchildren, Noah Wayne Kamp and Kinsley Grace Kamp and stepmother, Joyce A. Kamp and numerous beloved nieces and nephews along with other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society and/or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home.
