Graveside services for Hazel Williams Cobb, 85, of Marshall, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Grange Hall Cemetery with Rev. James Fleet officiating. Interment will follow. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., today, March 18, 2015 at Downs Funeral Home. Mrs. Cobb passed away March 16, 2015, in Longview, TX. Hazel Marie Williams Cobb was born February 24, 1930, in Longview, to Clay and Lena McDonald Williams. Hazel worked for Sears in Marshall for a number of years. She was a member of Grange Hall United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women. Hazel married Talmadge Cobb, and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1988. Surviving Hazel are her son, Rickey Cobb and wife Joyce of Marshall; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mary Dee Clapp of Julian, NC; other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; sons, David Jarrell Cobb, Talmadge Wayne Cobb; and brother, G.C. "Bo" Williams. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. James Logan and his nurse, Linda Riley. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Grange Hall United Methodist Church.
