Funeral services for Hazell Craver, 96 of Marshall will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 9, 2018 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas with Bro. Craig Evers officiating. Interment will be in Eagle Creek Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, July 8th at the Downs Funeral Home.

Hazell Guffey Craver was born February 3, 1922 in Tira, Texas to Daniel E. Guffey and Bertha Dean Blevins Guffey. She passed away July 5, 2018 in Marshall, Texas. Hazell married Wilburn Wayne Craver on January 2, 1940 in Harrison County.  They were married for forty-nine years before his death on March 26, 1989.  She was a housewife, who worked beside her husband on their farmland. She was a member of Nesbitt Baptist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, and watching Judge Judy and Wheel of Fortune.

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Bertha Guffey, husband Wilburn Craver, brothers and sisters Lorene Guffey Johnson, Valton Guffey, Grady Guffey, Hollis Guffey, Geneva Guffey, Donald Guffey, and Doris Marie Butler.
