Services for Mr. Henry Clay Brightmon Sr., will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Downs Funeral Home. Bro. Claude Andrews will officiate the service. Internment will be at New Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home.

Mr. Henry Brightmon Sr., was born on June 30, 1930, in Harleton, TX, to James and Dennie Brightmon. On August 1, 1986, Mr. Brightmon married his late wife, Faye, making their union official. He was a dedicated worker who worked for many years in the construction industry and later as a foreman until he retired. Mr. Brightmon was a strong, loving, devoted and one of a kind son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grand-father, great-grandfather and friend. He was an incredibly generous and selfless man.

To cherish his memory he leaves behind sons, Michael Ray Brightmon of Marshall, TX, Henry Clay Brightmon, Jr. (Cassandra) of Henderson, TX; daughters, Michelle Renee Brigthmon, and Angela Renea Yahweh (Howard Fisher) of Marshall, TX; sisters, Clemmie Johnson of Fort Worth, TX, Dennie Mae Brightmon of Marshall, TX; step children, Carolyn Faye Miles of Dallas, TX, Lorie Ann Townsel of Houston, TX, Letitia Ann Webb of Karnack, TX, Benita Carol Armstrong of Marshall, TX, Billy Don Armstrong (Joyce) of Dallas, TX, Jeffery (Ethel) Armstrong of Shreveport, LA, and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Mr. Brightmon is preceded in death by his parents, James and Dennie Brightmon; step-mother; wife, Faye Brightmon; seven sisters, five brothers, three son-in-laws, one step-daughter, one step-son, and one step-grandson.
