A graveside service for Herbert Wayne "Red" Summers, 86, of Karnack, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2025, at Andrews Cemetery in Karnack.

Herbert was born on October 4, 1938, in Karnack, Texas to William Herbert Summers and Gladys Faye Strong and passed away on August 21, 2025, in Longview, Texas.

He married Faye Summers on May 18, 1961, in Marshall, Texas and the two remained married until his passing. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. He loved mechanic work and owned his own garage, called Red Summers Garage. He worked in the pipeline industry at The Alaskan Pipeline. Most of all he loved his family and grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys Summers and one brother, Ronnie Summers.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Summer; his son, Randy Summers and wife, Jennifer; sister-in-law, Judy Summers and grandson, Tyler Whitley along with other family and friends.
