A funeral service for Ima L. Wilson, 81, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas. Interment will follow at Walnut Creek Cemetery in Diana, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 1, 2022, at Concord Missionary Baptist Church.

Ima L. Wilson "Sissy" went to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 28,2022.

She was born October 21,1940 in Gilmer, Tx to Mr. J.D. "Jim" McCurry & Mrs. Cloteal Wells McCurry. She married Loy G. Wilson on June 3, 1960 at Concord Missionary Baptist Church in Gilmer, TX.

She worked for 30 years in the healthcare industry caring for those who resided in a skilled nursing facility. She enjoyed quilting, baking, and raising her four boys.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Cloteal McCurry and her oldest son, Shane Wilson of Diana, TX.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Loy Wilson; her three sons, Asa Wilson and wife Michele of Del Rose, Heath Wilson and wife Debbie of Boxwood and Brook Wilson and wife Lynn of Clear Lake; six grandchildren, Lauren, Jenni, Aleisha, Jonathan, Jessica and Jenna; numerous great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Dennis Capps and niece Alisha Capps along with numerous other family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Capps, Chris McCurry, Charlie Roberts, Nelson Thorpe, Ray Vogel, Tom Ferguson, Brian Camp, Bruce Camp, and Delwin Bassham.
