Funeral services for Jack Edward Bolt, 54 of Marshall will be held at 2p.m., Friday, October 23, 2015 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Colonial Gardens Cemetery. Jack left this earth October 20, 2015 at his home. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the funeral home. Jack Edward Bolt was born July 7, 1961 in Arkadelphia, AR to Harold Dean Bolt, Sr. and Janita Greer Bolt. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1979. After graduation, he worked for Floyd's Air Conditioning for several years before starting his own company, Bolt Refrigeration where he was owner/operator and most recently owned and operated Fogle LLC. On April 30, 1982, he married Betty Coleman Bolt. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He loved life and was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving Jack are his wife of 33 years, Betty Bolt; daughters, Shonda Bolt Irvine and husband Bubba and Christy Bolt Layton and husband Chris; three grandchildren, Kaylee Fletcher, Conner Layton and Kolten Layton; mother, Janita Bolt; brother, Dean Bolt and wife Linda; sister, Janet Bolt DeMoney and husband Kenneth and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his son Jason Bolt and two grandsons, Remington and Jaxson Irvine. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Shaver, Billy Jo Sistrunk, Kevin Joiner, Gene Weaver, Steve Welch, Mike Thurmon, Ricky Bryan, Rick Phillips, Roy Bates and Scott Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be his host of many friends. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Empty Stocking Fund P.O. Box 2161, Marshall, Texas 75671.
