Marshall, Texas 75672 (903) 927-1700 James Lynn Hudson Funeral services for Mr. James Lynn Hudson, 83, of Marshall will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday September 26, 2010 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Segers and Bro. James Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at New Grover Cemetery in Marshall. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Saturday September 25, 2010 at the funeral home. Mr. Hudson passed away, Thursday September 23, 2010 in Marshall. James Lynn Hudson was born January 24, 1927 in Marshall to James Tipp Hudson and Eunice Mabel Harris Hudson. He served his country as a Sgt. in the US Army. Mr. Hudson worked for T&P Railroad for seventeen years before retiring. After T&P, he was employed by Timberland Saw Co. as a Shipping Clerk. James enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. Surviving James are four sons, Darrell Hudson and wife Melanie, of Carthage, Mark Hudson and wife Hortencia, of Marshall, Lee Hudson, of Hallsville and Jay Hudson and wife Cindy, of Marshall; daughter, Linda Hudson Hunter and husband Wayne, of Marshall; five grandchildren, Stephanie Hunter, Joshua Hunter, Amelia Hudson, Julia Hudson, and Jacob Hudson; one sister, Joyce Moore, of Marshall and the mother of his children, Carolyn Shadwick, of Hallsville. Serving as pallbearers will be his sons, Darrell, Mark, Lee, and Jay Hudson, grandson, Josh Hunter and son in law, Wayne Hunter.
