Jamie Martin Funeral services for Jamie Martin, 55, of Marshall will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2011, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Paul Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens with Bro. John Kiple officiating. Visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Martin passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in Longview. Mr. Martin was born December 6, 1955, in Marshall, to Gaskel and Frances Carr Martin. Mr. Martin married Cindy DeMoney Martin September, 1989. They were blessed with three daughters. Jamie worked for Eastman Chemical for 23 years. He was a family man who lived for his family. He was an avid collector and hobbyist. He enjoyed yard work. Mr. Martin was a member of Cypress Valley Bible Church for 25 years. Mr. Martin was survived by his wife Cindy Martin of Marshall; daughters Leslie Martin Goff of Hutto, Tricia Martin of Richmond, VA and Sarah Martin of Marshall, his mother Francis Davis of Marshall, brothers Tommy Martin of Marshall, Robbie Martin of Bastrop, TX, and Phillip Martin of Cabot, AR; sister Carolyn Wilson of Troup, TX; 5 grandchildren and a number of aunts , uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his father Gaskel Martin. Pallbearers will be Paul Reynolds, Mark Reynolds, John Lancaster, James Floyd, Robert Wray, Darren Bradshaw, Dr. Shaun Kelehan and John Gobert. Honorary pallbearer will be Pete Whaley.
