A graveside service for Janell Sanders Elliott, 43, of Harleton, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Grange Hall Cemetery in Marshall, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Downs Funeral Home.

Janell was born on September 20, 1979, in Marshall, Texas to Kendall W. Sanders and Helen Wynette Sanders and passed away on August 19, 2023, in Harleton, Texas.

She graduated from Harleton High School in 1997 and went on to attend TSTC. She married Timothy Elliott on July 14, 2001, in Harleton, Texas. She worked for Marshall News Messenger as a newspaper carrier for over 20 years. She loved spending time with family and friends. She loved her dog Lucy and loved everything purple. She had the biggest smile and could easily make you laugh.

She is preceded in death by her father, Kendall W. Sanders, Sr.; husband, Timothy Elliott; grandparents, W.D. and Flosser Roberts and Thurston and Josie Bell Sanders; brother, Joe Bob Sanders; aunts and uncles, John and Doris Young, Chester and Jean Stegall and Joy Boaze and brother-in-law, Mark Hammond.

She is survived by her mother, Wynette Sanders; sister, Marsha Morton and husband, Tommy; brother, Ken Sanders and wife, Cindy; nephews, Steven Hammond and wife, Joanna and Kevin Hammond; great nephews, Clayton Hammond and Greyson Hammond; great nieces, Kayleigh Hammond, Kaydence Hammond, Addison Hammond, Lorelei Hammond and Madelyn Hammond along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and other family and friends.
