A visitation for Janette "MiMi" Fisher, 88, of Marshall, Texas will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Downs Funeral Home.

Janette was born on January 30, 1937, to Robert Cloninger and Verna Fuquay Cloninger in Linden, Texas and passed away on January 20, 2026, in Marshall, Texas.

She was a 1955 graduate of Marshall High School and attended TSTW in Denton, Texas for two years. She married Larry Fisher and the two remained married until his passing in 2002. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. She traveled with them to ceremonies during her membership. She loved to sew, but most of all loved her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Verna Cloninger; her husband, Larry Fisher and her granddaughter, Kayla Fitch.

She is survived by her children, Robert Fisher and wife, Cherry, Paula Fitch and husband, Mark and Janice Fisher; grandchildren, Jennifer and Trent Cunningham, Krissy and Dennis Certain, Erin and Autry Adams; great grandchildren, Frank Mitchell, Cole Cunningham, Kyler Cunningham, Rhett Cunningham, Mason Cunningham, Kaylee Fisher, Cobin Certain, Oliver Certain, Ryan Beall, Ella Adams and Ireland Adams along with other family and friends as well as her fur baby, CoCo.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
