A funeral service for Jay Harold Bush, 53, of Hallsville, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2022, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home in Marshall, Texas. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A time for visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 25, 2022, at the funeral home.

He was born on October 28, 1968, in Gladewater, Texas to Jack Bush, Jr. and Velma (Nadine) Etheridge Bush and passed away on March 21, 2022, in Houston, Texas.

He attended Hallsville Independent School District, grades K-12. He worked for Southwest Steel Casting until he became self employed as a mechanic. He had many hobbies which included drag strip racing, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, cooking and spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for fixing automobiles but most of all race cars. He met Jacqueline Cook and together they had his only child, J'Amber Bush. He was once married to Sharon (Alexander) Bush. To this union, no children were born but he gained a Bonus Daughter, Savanna Molina, and Bonus Son, Beau Alexander.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Bush, Jr. and Velma Etheridge Bush.

He is survived by his daughter, J'Amber Bush and his precious grand-daughter, Jayda Jones both of Marshall; God-daughter, Savannah Bryant; brothers, Willie Bush and wife, Paulette of Longview, Vandell Bush and wife, Glenda of Longview, Clifford Bush and wife, Thelma of Longview, Kenneth Bush of Longview, Robbie Bush and wife, Natasha of Longview, Quardre Sneed and wife, Latrice of Longview; one and only dear sister, Jacque Bush, who was by his side until the end; dear friends, Charlotte Bryant and Sharon Smith of Rusk along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
