A memorial service for JB Wood, 56 of DeBerry will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016 in the chapel of Downs Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Wilson officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at the funeral home. JB passed away January 6, 2016.

JB Wood was born December 11, 1959 to James Lee Wood and Claudia Zelma Thomas Wood. JB loved woodworking and making knives as well as collecting guns which he had acquired a large collection. He also liked building computers. But most of all, JB loved spending time with his family.

Surviving JB are his daughter, Brittani Wood Grabener and husband, Jon-Eric Michael Grabener; one granddaughter, Gracie Ann Grabener and three sisters, Janice Sue Cutchall, Francis Marie Brown and spouse Conley Brown and Audrey Delores Kittrell. Also surviving JB are numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
