Graveside services for Jean Marie Copeland, 76 Harleton will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in Smyrna Cemetery with Bro. Kenneth Mills and Bro. Mike Midkiff officiating. Mrs. Copeland passed away August 30, 2015. Jean Marie Copeland was born February 17, 1939 in Petersburg, VA to Willie Ray McKenney and Dallas Alberta Carlisle McKenney. She married Neal Copeland on December 20, 1957. Jean was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and worked as a secretary for Harleton ISD retiring in 1992. Surviving Jean are her husband of 57 years, Neal Copeland of Harleton; two daughters, Jean Renee Copeland and Janet Dale Briggs and husband Curtis all of Harleton; son, Tracy Wayne Copeland and wife Elizabeth (Beth) of Diana; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous other extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Darlene Ramsey.
