A funeral service for Jeanette Hamblen will be held at 2:00p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Downs Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Gunter and Bro. Tony Gunter will be officiating the service. Interment will follow immediately after the service going to Hallsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Downs Funeral Home.

Jeanette Hamblen, 84, of Atlanta, Texas was born on September 27, 1935 to her parents, William Narramore and Julia Vineyard in Marshall, Texas. Mrs. Hamblen passed away on June 22, 2020. She was a Christian of the Pentecostal Faith and loved serving her Lord Jesus Christ with her husband, together they did music ministry, preaching and teaching. Mrs. Hamblen loved arts and crafts, yard sales, auctions, travelling, and above all, her Lord and family.

Mrs. Hamblen is survived by her children, Jo Anna Gunter (Randy) and Joe Hamblen (Leah); lifelong friends, Jean Lassiter, Mary Gene Heard and April Byasee; grandchildren, Tony Gunter (Korinda), Cullen Hamblen (Celia), Cameron Hamblen, Lauren McClure, Marilyn Hellenbuyck (Sebastian), LJ Newman (Kaitlyn), Chase Newman, Sam Newman, and Cadence Hamblen; great-grandchildren, Calee Hamblen, Cannon Hamblen, and Conor Hamblen.

Mrs. Hamblen is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Daniel Hamblen; parents; sisters, Vivian Prince, Mary Lou Patterson and Nelwayne Ogden; brother, M.L. Narramore.
