Jeannine Potter was born March 24, 1931 in Water Valley, MS to R. E. and Clara Mae McMinn Hyde. She attended the Memphis, TN schools. Jeannine and Bobby Potter married June 20, 1981 in Longview, TX. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waskom. Mrs. Potter was a claims representative for the Social Security Administration in Longview and Marshall retiring in 1986. She was previously Executive Secretary of the Selective Service Board of Gregg County. She loved her Bunco and Pokeno Clubs which she started in Longview over 40 years ago, and later started a club in Waskom. Mrs. Potter passed away April 24, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Potter is survived by her husband, Bobby Potter of Waskom; sons, Rusty and Pam Jones of Longview and Jeff and Jean Jones of Hallsville; step-daughters, Melissa Mason of Baton Rouge, LA, Cindy and Tim Williams of Haughton, LA and Robin and Tony Rogers of Bentonville; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mrs. Potter was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jay Hyde.
