A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Jeremy Jones, 36, of Longview, will be held at 10:00a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow the service in McJohnson Cemetery. Mr. Jones passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 in Mesquite, Texas.

Jeremy Bernard Jones was born December 16, 1977 to J.B. and Shirley Oliver Jones, Jr. in Marshall, Texas. Jeremy accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He took joy in praising the Lord through song.

Jeremy was a 1996 graduate of Marshall High School and later attended Panola College.

Jeremy departed this life September 16, 2016 in Mesquite Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, J.B. Jones, Jr.; grandparents, J.B. and Arzalia Jones, Sr., and John and Ruth Oliver.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Shirley Jones; three sisters, Tonia Oliver (Cedric), Kiesha Jones both of Longview, Texas, Michelle Jones of Mesquite, Texas; two nieces, Falondria Oliver and Sha'undraylin Oliver; two nephews, Tyran Jaleel Jones and Jayden Jones; three great-nieces, Sha'Tera Oliver, Sha'Teya Oliver and Sha'Nyia Oliver all of Longview; three best friends, Ray Johnson, Derrick Johnson and Samantha Mcphail along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
