A funeral service for Jerry B. Witcher, 59, of Rockwall, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Algoma South Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

Jerry was born on July 18, 1964, in Minot, North Dakota to Jerry Don Witcher and Glenda Moore and passed away on October 12, 2023, in Rockwall, Texas.

He married the love of his life, Sherry Anne Oney on January 28, 1988, in Marshall, Texas and the two remained married until his passing. Jerry and Sherry were blessed with a daughter and son, Hannah and Ty Witcher. Jerry was a devoted and loving father who enjoyed taking his kids to Nascar races when they were little. He passed down his love for cars to his son, Ty and to his grandson, Slade. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed working on and fixing up his and his son's trucks. He had the best sense of humor and spread laughter and cheer to everyone he knew. He enjoyed spending time with this family, and his two grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Novice Randal Witcher and Estelle Witcher; grandparents, Jessie Moore and Evelyn Moore; and father, Jerry Don Witcher.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Witcher; children, Hannah Wilson and husband, Kameron and son, Logan Ty Witcher; parents, Bobby and Glenda Teague; sisters, Debbie Howlett and Husband, Bart and Andrea Teague Cramer; brothers Michael Todd Young and wife, Tiana Young and Marshall Teague and wife, Nikki Teague; and two grandchildren, Madelyn and Slade Wilson along with several nieces, nephews and numerous other loved ones.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to Shriners Hospital.
