Jesse Robbins Funeral services for Mr. Jesse Robbins, 80 of Waskom will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday May 14, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Waskom with Rev. Eric Peyton officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Waskom. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday May 13, 2011 at the funeral home. Mr. Robbins passed away May 10, 2011 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Jesse Robbins was born November 27, 1930 in Pelican, Louisiana to William Joseph and Addie Mauldin Robbins. Jesse later married Wynette Robbins. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Waskom. He retired after 20 years of serving in the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sgt during the Korean War. He worked for General Electric for seven years as a supervisor, and then worked for the US Postal Service for ten years. He enjoyed playing cards and gardening. Surviving Jesse are daughter, Kathy De Angelis and husband Luciano of El Paso; sons, David Robbins and wife Laura and Darrell Robbins and wife Raejean all of Waskom; grandchildren, Brent Willis, Shannon Willis, Stephen Robbins, Whitney Robbins, Chloe Robbins, Angela Collins, Justin Robbins; eight great-grandchildren and special friend, Ruby DeMoss of Waskom.
