A funeral service for Jesse W. Uselton will be held Sunday, November 4, 2018 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home at 2:00p.m. Rev. Sammy Dickerson will be officiating service. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at Downs Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately after the funeral service going to Colonial Gardens Cemetery.

Jesse W. Uselton 92, of Marshall, Texas passed away peacefully on November 1, 2018. Mr. Uselton was born December 31, 1925 to his parents, Charlie Uselton and Lillie Adams Uselton. Mr. Uselton was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Marshall, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Mr. Uselton worked for Union Pacific Railroad as a Manager of Communications for 35years. He coached little league baseball for many years. He raised and trained bird dogs.

Mr. Uselton is survived by his children, Sherry Diane Dickerson and spouse, Sammy, Nannette Clark and spouse, Brett, Tracy Uselton, daughter in law Judy Uselton McArthur; sister, Dorothy Uselton Taylor Dunn; grandchildren, Shelly Mcoy and spouse, Gary, Samantha Taylor and spouse, Timothy, Stephen Dickerson and spouse, Brandy, Kyle Uselton and spouse, Jinni, Kory Uselton, Kevin Uselton, Justin Uselton, Connor Clark, and Colleen Clark; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Uselton is preceded in death by his wife, Tommie L. Uselton; parents, Charlie O. Uselton and Lillie Adams Uselton; brother, Clyde Uselton; son, Bart Uselton; grandchild, Tony Dickerson.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that any donations be made to Compass Hospice.

Serving as active pallbearers are his grandsons, Kevin Uselton, Kory Uselton, Kyle Uselton, Stephen Dickerson, Justin Uselton, and Connor Clark.
