Mickey Muckelrath, 89 of Marshall, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 8, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2023, at St. Mark's Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Whitley officiating.

Jessie McFaye 'Mickey' Muckelrath was born November 11, 1933, in Homer, Louisiana, to Jessie and Julia McLeod Brantly. On April 27, 1956, she married Lynrowe 'Lynn' Muckelrath in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a long-time member of St. Mark's where she enjoyed worshipping, crafting, and helping out. For much of her life she worked in business offices in addition to being a homemaker. She enjoyed decorating for the different seasons and holidays, making guests to her home feel welcome, watching cooking shows with her daughter and grandson, and watching old westerns. Her greatest joy came from spending time with friends and family.

Surviving Mickey are her daughter, Julie Lynn Castleberry and husband, Grant; grandson, Ryan Alan Castleberry; brother, Jackie Leon 'Jack' Brantly; and brother-in-law, George Muckelrath and his wife Evelyn. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Julia Brantly; her husband, Lynn Muckelrath; her sister, Gloria Brantly Garvin; five sisters-in-laws and two brothers-in-law; and by her son Stephen Lynn Muckelrath.
