A Funeral Service for Jimmie Lynn Fyffe, 68 of Hallsville will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home, Marshall, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm, Monday, November 9, 2015 at Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Fyffe passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at his home. He was born December 5, 1946 to Jadie Fyffe and Anne Smith Fyffe. Jimmie was a Vietnam Veteran and proud of his service, retiring after 22 years in the US Air Force. He was a life time member of the VFW, Sons of the American Legion and a member of the American Legion Post 267 in Marshall. Jimmie was a loving husband, father and brother. He was an avid fisherman with a big heart, mischievous sense of humor, and had a great love for his animals. Survivors include his wife Julie; daughter Traci Hanson and husband David of Ruskin, Florida; sons Jeff Fyffe of Marshall and Terry Fyffe of Covington, Georgia and step son Addison Brock of Hallsville; sister Janie Fyffe Power; brother Jodie Fyffe and wife Carolyn of Marshall; grandchildren Jarod Hanson and wife Nichole, Davis Hanson all of Ruskin, Florida, Gavin Hanson of Marshall and Chase Sparks of Longview; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Preceding him in death were his parents; brother Gerald Fyffe; sons Tim and Tony Fyffe. Honorary pallbearer is James Fyffe. That twinkle in his eye and big smile will be missed by many.
